One of my friend went back to China 4 months ago and she returned to Canada today, Im really sure she submitted her PR application later than mine. And she got her COPR at the Vancouver border today... I have no idea whats going on.

As I said, I am July 2016 inland MPNP applicant, and MYCIC shows me medical passed and ecas shows Medical received since October 2017. No updates at all for me.

It shows they transfer the files to a location cio-meds on Dec 17, 2017.

your file doesn't transfer to Ottawa ?? if Yes so they didn't start security check for you

I am 3 months later than you, just passed medical on Jan 18.
But I've seen people got PPR within 3 months after medical, hopefully we will both get PPR soon

They extended my medical result as well

When did you do upfront ME ? ( ME = medical exam )
When did IRCC extend your ME ? you can know it from GCMS note

Did my upfront medical on Jan 2017, and I think they extend it on Dec 2017..

After contacting IRCC few times, he has been sent a letter from CSIS with all the legal stuff which doesn't make sense at all and they have refused to disclose what's the status of his security check.

He hasn't received his GCMS notes which he applied for 3 months ago because of security check.

Still feeling unlucky ? Lol

Worst case scenario, you can always apply TRV back in China. Though if you are going back during Chinese New Year, expect two week processing time.

Just be patient, PPR will come to you

In such cases where an applicant can be a concern, it can take any where from 6 to 24 months for back ground/ security check!

I can't imaging how frustrated your friend is right now, best wishes to him.
Why your friend is considered as a concern? Did he serve in an army before? As an international student, I feel like my background is as simple as zero...
