I have a quick question I am an inland applicant (Sydney Nova Scotia)
I sent my documents last year 5th May 2017
AOR 27th July 2017
No MR yet
They sent a document asking for the payment on 4th of August 2017 and I did the payment online and uploaded the receipt on the same day (They give only 7 days to do it otherwise they send your application back)
Since August I didn’t hear anything back from them and it says my application is in progress and they are doing security check.
Yesterday this message showed up in ECAS:
3. We sent you correspondence on August 3, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
Do I need to send email or call them to check if they received my payment receipt or not? Or shall I just wait? I am a bit confused
On my online application i can see my uploaded document (receipt) as supporting document
I didn’t find an email where I can ask and it is not a technical issue so I cannot report it via e-forms as well
What does it say in your partner/cic log in (not ECAS)? Are there any unread messages/updates waiting to be made?
Also - is the email you received back in August the reminder e-mail, which includes the RPRF fee, background check, missing info, etc? If so, and you've paid the fee and uploaded the receipt, and you've already submitted your background check, double-check to make sure you're not missing any info in the "Schedule A" section of your app. Otherwise, in my opinion what you've received is just a standard message (are you sure you only got it yesterday?)
It has been a while i came on this forum. Congrats to all who got their PR!
Until now, I left it to the CIC god and goddesses to do their magic. But i was curious since so applied for GCMS notes in November and once in Dec. I received my latest notes just today. When I noticed one major difference. In the first notes , my security was "not started" and i saw s.15(1) in the top corner of second page - where you see status of assessments. In the second notes, my security is still "not started" but I found that s.15(1) was removed from from top corner and not seen in any other pages as well.
Does anyone know what this means? is my security moving forward or is it moving backwards lol? Any ideas?
I have my answer . I wrote to ATIP to know if that could delay my application and I received a message from them saying :
"En aucun cas le traitement de votre demande de résidence permanente ne sera affectée par une demande d’accès à l’information. Soyez-en rassuré.
Et oui l’information vous sera transmise par courriel.
Bien à vous,"
I english it does mean
Under no circumstances will the processing of your application for permanent residence be affected by an access to information request. Be reassured.

Also, there has been anecdotal evidence that suggests that asking for the GCMS notes actually speeds things up because then the officer receiving the request for the notes may signal the delay to the clerk working on the application.

Then I had that same message in ECAS on October 16th. And I received a new CSQ on October 30. (It expired and CIC had it renewed for a year) So in my case I think the documentation they sent me, they actually sent to MIDI. Could it be something similar in your case?
I got my MR two months later, Dec 19.
(Paid RPRF Oct 20, but never saw any confirmation of it in ECAS or myCIC...)
I am not sure about that, but as per federal for 2 adults i think its around $15,500.
I showed more than this amount in my account. So any amount above this range should be safer.
I am going to the US for a ski weekend in March with a university club.
I am expecting my PPR soon, so by the time I get my CoPR and do the landing, I do not think my PR card will be ready for that trip.
The ski club rents or own a bus. Do you think this is considered a private vehicle? Or is the PR card requirement specifically to board a commercial bus, ie. do the agents really care how you got to the border?

Thanks for helping!
