dont go by what the MP says a 100%. he does not know it will go over 12 months. its case by case basis, depends on what LVO thinks of the case, if by all the docs they received, it looks genuine yours can be done in a couple months from them opening your file first time. MP is pulling numbers out of his bum. MP's actually do not have access to that kind of info, all they can go by is what LVO tells them and they told him that file is not open yet, thats it.

Calling MP is wasting of time. Rather check GCKEY OR ECAS or dial Immigration Canada Number to get the update. They may not be even calling LVO... who knows.. They know our file is not started so they say the same to us.. thats it and buy number of months.. Jan to march ..mar to may

@Amna1997 .. i applied in May 2017 .. and yes i did get notes generated as of Dec 28th. Both MP and the notes say nothing has been started yet ..

my next step is to compile voluntary docs .. i was dead against doing this but now i have to. What is the best route? email BOTH or only one - LVO and webform?

Also, when compiling whatsapp chats and call logs, should i send them everything or should i pick days? how should i go about randomly picking days? Please, need some guidance.

did you submit it via webform or directly to lvo? also if to LVO, was it both email and mail or just email? OR did you choose all three methods - email, mail, and webform?

As a bit of an expert on preparing these things (Thanks to our PFL lol) I can share with you what we did.
- Our main platform is whatsApp chat. So we selected 10 screenshots per month since our wedding (You can include it since your file was sent in to CPC). These were random and our criteria was they must be in English and show a variety of topics we chat about (work, school, family, politics, etc)
- we also included other platforms but limited that to 2-4 screenshots per months
- we included phone bills, calling cards, text messages if any
- Skype is our main source of call/video chat so screenshot of us chatting these were random 6 - 8 in total and then screenshots of call logs these we showed more of to show to them we talk daily.
- We also included emails we sent each other.

If you are considering voluntary docs then consider sending in any gifts receipts or money transfers made to each other also. Also webform and Email both routes would be the best option. File sizes are unfortunately 4 mb but play around with online tools to help compress PDFs. All the best!

We are May 2017 applicant. We knew about the potential interview since Nov. 21st.

I have some questions regarding the documents they asked. I will post them in a separate post.

have you ever visited your hubby? if yes then send all the voluntarily proof of ur visit. If you never visited him and LVO never asks you to send any proof if your marriage is genuine then to me don't send anything bcoz they are not asking.
We all are sending voluntarily proof only if 1. LVO asking OR if anyone of us visiting our spouse back home.
if you still want to send your proof then MAIL it to LVO via registered mail. make sure you type your file # on top of Envelope / Spousal Sponsorship.
then you can email as well. But best option is the Registered mail with at least signature required. Use Canada Post for this.
I have done the same. But when i send the same docs via email they replied me that they have received my email but suggested and encouraged me to send the same docs via registered mail. Looks like people who are receiving our email and people who are receiving our mails are from two different dept of LVO.
email people may be sitting in India and mail people yes must be in London England. that why there is a communication gap
