I applied for SWOP on 25th December with upfront medical . No updates after AOR and biometric request.

Anyone same as my situation ?

I am planning to apply for my SOWP Application.
Based on your experience I would like to know how much fund balance usually we have to show in the bank for our SOWP Application?
In my case my wife is working in Canada NOC - B Job
We both are from India.
So How much CAD my wife have to show?
And how much fund balance I have to show in Indian Rupees or CAD?

You have to wait average 12 weeks to get updates from CIC. If your spouse is in India the processing time is 13 Weeks.

Actually where is your spouse's current country of residence.?

Happy to reply you, but please also get advices from senior members.

We showed 7000CAD from my spous's account plus Rs.500,000 from my account and proof of deed belongs to me with valuation report. Also 6months salary slip of my spouse.

Your spouse is already in Canada? As per the processing time it takes 7 weeks ..within Canada..

As per the updated processing time, Work permit (or SOWP) applied from India should take 10 weeks. Is it 10 weeks from the date of applying for visa? or from Current date?
So if whoever applied on November 1st week must have got update by now? Is there anyone who got request for passport? Kindly update.

Hello there,

I am eligible to apply for the open work permit via my spouse, we also qualify for common law however I have not applied or officially declared that yet (getting the paperwork together now).

Do I have to submit the common law app and wait for it to be approved before I can proceed with the open work permit? Or is it at all possible to submit them both in one application?
