I'm on the same boat as YULIA-2016. My application to sponsor my mom was received on 5 Jan 2016. In Feb 2017, I received an email from CIC saying my application was transferred to CPC-Ottawa for further processing. Now in my ecas account, under PR application status, it still says "Application received".
I noticed that for many people whose applications were around the same time frame as mine, their parents already got PR status or at least were requested Medical and PCC.
So I'm quite worried if there is anything wrong with my application. Is there anyone of the 2016 batch still waiting for medical request like me?
I tried to call IRCC but unable to get through due to high volumes of calls. Is there a way to email CPC-Ottawa?
Could anyone please help share some thoughts with me? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Goldencanada
Are your Parents here in Canada on visitor visa or in India. If u can pls share your PCC/ Travel history and Medical request dates will be helpful.
Good Luck!
Received passports back from Ottawa Office on Friday (Jan 5,2018).
We went to do landing on Sunday at Lewiston–Queenston Bridge, we crossed USA border, while coming back we planned to do landing. one of the officer there said, "we do landing only on tues, wed and thrus (8am till midnight)ONLY IF SOME REASON WE ARE NOT ABLE TO GET APPOINTMENT WITH ONE OF LANDING OFFICE APPOINTMENT, it is least priority. You may have to wait 8-10 hours or have to leave without doing it". As my parents are in Canada , is there any the fastest way to do or any other suggestions.
I just checked the ecas and my mothers applic show "Decision Made". But i still do not have an email and my cic account still shows background check in process.
Ecas is showing status as 'Decision Made' as of this morning. No change in Mycic (i.e. Background check in progress). I am guessing (and hoping) that they will ask for passport through MyCic soon (a few days?).

You will get PPR soon... Like my case.. my status changed to Decision Made.. then a few days I received an email from CIC asking for my parents passports.. Good Luck
