I just received my CSQ. It says that they transmit the acceptance directly to the IRCC office handling the case. Do I need to upload the CSQ anywhere or is it all set?

Interesting, so visitor vvisa is not enough?

Visitor visa can only be enough if you have not overstayed your welcome before applying. If you apply before the 6 months validity expires, then it’s enough. Or better still, you extend the validity of your visitor status.

But if you apply without having a valid visitor status, am sorry, you will not be eligible for the OWP, when you are out of status.

Cic, will have to wait for your first stage approval- AIP, on your spousal sponsorship application, before issuing your OWP.

That is weird! For me was showing since before I got the request to apply for the csq

I was able to link my application online right away. I used my application number and my UCI. I left the place of birth fields empty and only put in the passport information. Number of applicants: 2 (me and my husband only, no children)

I was unable to link the work permit online.

was wondering after receiving AOR, how long does it take to get the OWP?

It takes about 3-4 months from when they receive your application.. It may take longer in some cases...

Anyone know how to resubmit police certificates? We've already submitted a scanned copy of a receipt for a police certificate request as well as an explanation saying that it will take longer to receive the actual police certificate as it will be sent to us from Japan. We just received the actual police certificate, but it seems like the upload document option is now deactivated (in that I don't see anything to upload a file) because I'm guessing that the date to submit documents has expired. So, is there still a way to upload our police certificate now that we have the official document? This all said, I do imagine CIC will contact us at some point asking for the actual police certificate, but we wish to upload it to them before this as to avoid delay.

Am June 14th applicant too, No OWP yet, because I did not have a valid temporary resident permit as at the time I applied for OWP. So they have to wait for AIP, before issuing the OWP. The waiting period is HELL

What do you mean by "not having a valid temporary resident permit" at the time you applied for OWP? How were you in Canada? On a visitor visa?

Hi, I didn't realize need to link the OWP application as well. Thanks for the information!
In terms of your visitor visa expiration, I think as long as you submitted your application before your visa expires, you should be fine. You will be under implied status once your visitor visa expires. You are able to remain the current status you have until a decision has been made to your application.

How did you link the OWP? I never received anything for this.

happened to me too. i am the sponsor. my wife received the AOR, then the following day she received another email but was addressed to me. i think that’s supposed to be for me as the sponsor. i checked online through ECAS and it’s already in their records about my application to sponsor my wife. so i didn’t bother to call cic.

You can use their IRCC Web form.

If you are concerned, maybe you could wait a few weeks and then call to verify that they got it.

It doesn't affect the PR application, it's completely separate. If you don't have AOR yet then I would call and explain, they may be able to help you. Otherwise as soon as you receive AOR, upload the proof and cross your fingers...

I noticed on your timeline that you've submitted Schedule A and PCC twice. Was this because you had to resubmit your OWP? I'm in the same boat in that I paid only $100 (and not $255) and had to resubmit my OWP with sufficient funds, so I'm curious if the Schedule A and PCC have to be resubmitted because of this.

I actually just found the AOR email. It was buried in my inbox. I thought I didn't have it, but I had it after all.
