I applied on October 2016 and sponsorship approval rcvd in nov16 then I got email for additional document requirement in nov17 and I submitted in end of nov and today got this email.

This means you are at the end of the process as you have received re medical request. Have u already paid RPRF? If yes then send them a copy of the receipt. If not then pay now and send receipt.

Maybe your case was a bit different thats why it took time more time to review. You should expect to hear from CIC after 2-3 months.

I am sponsoring my wife in Pak. Can anyone tell me if I need to stay in Pak for any sort of biometrics/fingerprints etc at NADRA? I will only have 4-5 days after rukhsati in Pak

For all who are going to make their new CNIC. Please dont go to their office as they will require aloooottt of things and finger prints and all. You will not be here to provide it so here what you have to do ;
Return to Canada, apply for NICOP online and update it. (Change in Marital status)
Now after few days ask your wife to apply for CNIC online. Update her marital status (changing name is not necessary), Pay online and here you go. Everything will be settled.

As seniors are telling you to have alot of pictures and proof that will help you in future. Inshallah.

Sharing my story: My husband and I went on the 3rd day of our marriage at Nadra office, we took our Nikkah Nama and current cnic/nicop. It took us a few hours there (I updated my cnic-name plus marital status and he updated his marital status on Nicop-it doesn't show on the nicop itself but it gets updated in the NADRA records. Also if you want a Family Registration Ceerificate for the both of you, your status should be married in NADRA records). We got our cnic/nicop within 3-4 days and then i applied for a new passport with new name.

For new CNIC: the girl should not have mehndi on the fingertips otherwise they won't take your fingerprints and would send u back. I didn't put any on my fingertips for the same reason.

Yes that's one way too. But for someone who is not available here in Pakistan. I'm giving them this advice. Hope it will help someone like me.
And yes CNIC/NICOP of male member doesn't show its Marital status on itself, but has everything/ all data embedded in them.

New Delhi Visa Office has always been quicker than London Visa Office .i remember because I used to check that thread daily when my app was in process.

Indians are anyways already ahead of us lolz. All Medical request for Pakistani Applicants are coming from India

Hi Brothers, Need your help as I haven't hear anything from CIC after case went into Background Check in August 2017. I must need to be in Canada in March in 2018. Please suggest if I should apply for visit visa or it will cause any delay in case!

There is no fixed timeline. Depends case by case
