it seems to be bg request and a routine thing recently
&
i donot think they can reject anything because of academic reasons at the bg stage

Nth to worry. This is normal for them to check BG but it just takes longer if you have some sort of academic background too. They asked me to send my spouse's Canadian citizenship proof (got married last year). So this means they are collecting more information from me in their BG check process

Same here. Got MR on Sept 6, passed on Sept 13, but BG N/A still. Hope we will get it soon
