Pls advise.
Date i became PR : 17-may -2013
Date to file application : 25-nov-2017.
Absence from canada : 10 - Oct 2016 to 09-Mar-2017
When i am trying to calculate the required days using on line calculator it is asking the period from 25--Nov -2012 till 25-Nov 2017. Since before 17-May-2013 i was in India do i mention India & Do i need to provide PCC for this.
Regards
Only days after you became PR is counted towards eligibility period -
unless you have been here as a student or a temp worker before your PR.
I would say to start the Physical Calculator only from 17-May-2013 and put down the dates for Abesence from Canada and reason for it.
PCC is an entirely different matter - it starts 4 years before your application date. So if you are applying on 25-Nov-2017 then period considered is 25-Nov-2013 to 25-Nov-2017. If you stayed in india more than 183 days then you need to get india PCC.
My calculation is a bit rusty - but you appear to have stayed only 5 months in india. So no need for PCC. you can call and confirm with the CIC call center. Good Luck!
Pls advise.

Since the online system asks for dates 5 yrs before the application it is automated and gives that dte. I uses the same date 25-nov-2012 but it automatically takes the date one becomes PR in Canada. Thanks for ur advise. i am all good now.
