I have written a PhD at a University in the UK. I also finished a BA and MA over there. One of them would have been enough. Any degree that you have done in English should be sufficient and you do not need lelts

I can understand that. Thats why you were asked to show these docs as language proof. If some one has used Ielts as proof of language then they will ask for Ielts...

I received an email with the invitation letter for the test on October 31. My Ecas was updated the following day but I have not received the invitation letter by mail yet. Can I just print the confirmation file attached to the email? Should I contact the call the center?

Thanks for the info. I didn't do IELTS either but have a degree from Ireland and was just wondering if I need to show them the original degree cert or if the photocopy will suffice. English is my mother tongue anyway...

You don't have to unless you have someone who can stay with her in the reception area during the test. She doesn't need to be there for anything even the oath ceremony unless you would like her to be present.
I never received any mail/email but my ecas updated. I called call center and they are suggesting to just show up on test date with my documents. I am not having good feelings about it. Does anyone know how long is the test and interview for?
I highly recommend going to the passport office directly as you will not have to send out the original documents. You have to bring though your original citizenship document with you and all the other documents that they tell you on the website.
Be there a good half an hour bevor they open!!! Otherwise, you might have to wait for hours, at least in Vancouver.
It took exactly 7 working days for the passport to arrive and yes it is a registered letter and you will have to sign for it.
I was not at home when they tried to deliver the passport so I went to the post-office to pick it up.
It was a fairly straightforward process and as I did it directly at the passport office they checked all my paperwork there and then. Also, they filled all the information straight into the system which means the only thing remaining is the printing of the passport.
