Has anyone ever been able to call the IAD and get an update on their appeal as to whether you would be having an ADR or full hearing??

Or will i just have to sit and wait until i hear from them.

Yes you can call, if your case is simple, and an hour is all you need then they will select you for adr. If it's complicated, red flags, then they will schedule you for full hearing. Unfortunately full hearings are a longer wait.

Thanks for the info guys...we sent in additional evidence a few days ago hoping they will see ADR as the best option for us.
We were denied based on our marriage being "non genuine". No other red flag that I can see. VO wrote that my husband just wants to come to Canada to better his life economically. She also wrote things like, my husband was walking ahead of me as we left the building which shows that he is not in a relationship.

IRCC is just a complete joke to me. Cant wait to get this appeal over with so we can move on with our lives.

I knew as soon as I received my blue book that it would be ADR, however didn’t know the date until about 2 months before hand

Once I received my blue book I contacted the person who was handling my file in Montreal and she told me, then I was mailed a letter with date and time for my Skype interview and where I had to go

I appealed in June 2017 and received my bluebook in October and it had about 80 pictures of our engagement, honeymoon, wedding and our travels with the medical teams and pics of us with it included my itineraries and some chats. Do you think that we might hear from iad by January 2018? Thank u.

I appealed March, received blue book end of June and found out my date in September for November, we were delayed due to summer vacation etc. I was able to contact the person who was in charge of my file in Montreal and she told me that I would have ADR and that it would be approximately December, we got mid November date. I Would suggest contacting your appeal office and ask, never know until you try!

I hope you get an ADR. Im so lost because in my blue book we didnt get a copy of the evudence that we sent in the first time. We only got a copy of the original app, with marriage certificate, birth cefiticate and my documents on how i came to Canada.

If you are selected for ADR then probably they would contact you after 4 months from the date which you received blue book so maybe in Feb 2018.

I got blue book in 25th july and at the end of oct they contacted us for ADR date which will be in mid Jan 2018

So far so good. I’ve reviewed the blue book 100 times I feel confident, but still scared! Everyone of my family, as well as my husbands keep telling me to “be myself, you got this” and I keep saying “yes I do” I pray that tomorrow I can say “I got it” and this horror story will be just a thing of the past!
