I want to bring my mother in law here on supervisa. In the invitation letter I want to state that my mother in law will be here for 3 months, but I would ideally like her to come for 6 months. If I buy a tentative air ticket showing that she would leave after 3 months, and stays longer than 3 months can it cause any problems? We are thinking of changing her return date on the ticket once she gets the supervisa, if it is safe to do so, and does not cause any problems for her.
Is requesting 6 months too long for somebody with no previous travel history? My mother in law is unemployed, but she does have her husband and one child back home in India whom she takes care of.
Think you need to look into the supervisa program a little more. There is no need for an invitation just apply. You can be granted a stay of up to 24 months so 6 months should be easily awarded. You don't need to buy a return ticket but you need proof of medical insurance coverage up to $100,000.

I assume your are the co-signer, coz your spouse would be the one to invite your MIL and not just you. (or you both sign, it's fine)
Search sample invitation letter here in the forum, also have a signed promise that you would be responsible for her expenses, duration of 6 months to 1 year is fine, you need to meet the income requirement for SV, if you don't meet the income req, the app will be denied, buy 1 year medical insurance (mandatory), and you don't need a return ticket for SV nor buy a ticket for the app.
^SV is also a TRV. Same application form, the only difference is the question for "purpose of visit" applicant should choose SV.

What I did was separate documents, then when I uploaded them online in the invitation letter, I combined them in 1 file:
page 1 - invitation letter
page 2 - signed promise
page 3 - my citizenship cert
page 4 - my husband birth cert
page 5 - my daughter's birth cert (not sure if necessary)

Hi,
Would you mind sharing the timeline of your online Super visa application. I have read somewhere that paper based is faster than online SV application.
1 more Query: Is the canadian sponsor financial details sufficient or does the applicant also needs to show POF's under SV application ?
Thanks in advance....looking forward to your response..

My mom had furtherance test so it took almost 4 months from online submission to PPR.
The VO sent the medical test request after 1 week of submission
Approval was within a week after the medical changed to Passed.
PPR was the following day.
I submitted: my NOA & my husband's NOA for the financial requirement, mom's passport, my cert of citizenship, birth certificates, medical insurance, picture, invitation letter and signed promise that we are responsible for all her expenses, as I indicated zero in her funds available in the app form. No bank statements.

Thanks for the prompt response. I was confused about the applicants POF part, u made it clear. I wud too show zero funds under applicants section and cover it with sponsor signed promise letter to be responsible for all her expenses. BTW my mom's SV wud be under CAN+ category. I believe ur application was also under CAN+.
