I actually just got acceptance to my application. Should I not worry about my error and leave it be? I put I am working on achieving common law, but also put a wrong date making it seem like I may have common law as of 2017, since I said I would have been living with her for a year as of May 2017 ( meant may 2018)

Sorry, let me rephrase. I just got my visa extension accepted today.(says i can stay for another 6 months). In this extension (this is my second one in a row) I sent a explanation letter with it. Here is what it says exactly. "I would have been living with my partner for a year, in May 2017(meant 2018), with proof such as rent, utilities, etc. I have signed on the lease since May of 2017. Before that, I was staying with her mother till I reached the age of 19 to sign onto the lease with her." I did clearly state, that the purpose of this extension was to ACHIEVE common law, and never meant to make it seem like I already have it. Could this be taken as misrepresentation? Since I already have my status extended, can I still send in a correction? And would it break my acceptance? Thanks

Ok, do you think this was a big mistake, and will have any big impact? Seeing as it has already been accepted, how long do you think it will take for them to get back to me? Or if they will get back at all.

People make mistakes when they fill forms. There's no misrepresentation as IRCC/CBSA has your entry date/first extension dates on record.
As you're applying for common-law sponsorship soon + you've been staying with your girlfriend continuously (you've not returned to the US for short trips), the error for the date will be considered as a typo
