This is ridiculous. What is happening to within 12 months period. When Caucasians work in Africa they care less of rules or policies and this is not good at all. They should hire people if need be.

But then they also did say that they were going to finish all the 2016 applications that were already in by that point by the end of 2017 if I’m correct. @Ugoswife, I believe yours is coming very soon. Wait is almost over for you. Us, we decided to put in one more visit just to ease the stress. Currently enjoying each other’s company in Nigeria. God is good and he will see us through.

Thank you for this, I was confused as to whether to submit WAEC certificate or employment letters. I think we will just skip over that if they didn't really ask for it.

provide document on your check list and don't add unnecessary ones if its not asked. This is where things get complex they always want to check documents now a lot.

India applicants used to get approved before like nobody else and CIC found out the one place where documents are being forged so now they have decreased indian immigration and cross check all documents. so now they want more diversity with immigration we are over populated now with a LOT of Indians in Canada.

These are some reasons why I am saying limit the documentation to what is required. Job letter isn't required for applicant.

i just when and check my cic account and it says decision made..and they have already requested for my passport after medical was done and it say medicals pass..so if it says decision made does it mean that PPR IS ready then?just need some clarification

you will get follow up email to address PPR request.
usually DM, PPR etc
so if you already had PPR after medical did you submit your passport??

If your passport was already requested that is PPR (pass port request) and you are approved. It saying decision made just means they've updated the status on the account. When did you mail your passport in?

so, i'm pretty sure one of the guides suggested proof of employment (maybe the background form)? So that's why my hubby included his. But in your current situation,@goddess2017, I'd have to agree with @Cutie101 that the employment doesn't appear to be their area of concern so only supply the information they are requesting at this moment.

haha! @nwaefulu_716, we couldn't take it anymore either so I went to see the hubby in October to ease the stress too then 2 days after returning we got PPR. My advise to anyone starting this process or in the middle is to live your life. we went a whole year on hold when we could have done so many things. Life must go on..

Hope the citizens officer handling your application does not sleep at work. I don't get the backlog or is it an African thing? I am not sure there is any visa office still working on 2016 applications unless these applications were not sent to Canada before AVO. Employ more people and get the work done.

it's not necessarily an African thing @Pete2020, check out the other African countries' thread. e.g Pretoria. It's radio silence in that forum 'cos the backlog must be cleared. even people from 2017 have gotten PPR.

yea i submit the passport..so i just my account again..it says it has been APPROVED.hopefully i will be expecting pickup mail from next week
