Today we received a request from NDVO to do the medical test again. Medical expired in September this year.

oh..hopefully its not too expensive in India

Today I received a message in my cic account. Also, I noticed that background check started. Does anyone know when will i receive pass request ? Also, I have never heard of pre-arrival service... anyone else receive this message?

My parents did their medical exam at first week of January 2017. A few weeks later in the system I saw medical exam passed. I don't exactly remember the date but it was two or three weeks later.

Got Medical exam request Nov 01st.

Looks like NDVO is little active offlate.

We received medical request from NDVO today. My mother medical were expired in July.
She is in canada on super visa . If PPR comes while she is in Canada , Can we submit passport here in canada ?

you can used super visa medical if you did that at least last year and yes, you can ask them to submit passport here

CIC has sent us new medical request this morning...even though previous medical results are still valid for more than two months...

probably they don't think they would be able to finish processing of the files by then....unnecessary headache to go through medicals again.

As i mentioned earlier they are out of quota for PGP visa limit of 18000 to 20000, they will not issue visa till January first week and may be your medical is valid till first week of January only. I know it's unnecessary headache to go through re medical but we don't have option. I am 100% sure that if they sent pre arrival letter means you are approved as PR but they can't issue the Visa before January. Still i can't understand, why can't they extend the medical expiry date to February. Order GCMS notes again and see what't going on with your file. I ordered my second GCMS note and expecting it next week and then i am planning to meet my MP.

Dear All, Just joined the forum, applied PR for my parents in January 2016, Received an email from CIC on 16th May 2016 mentioning that Your application has been accepted under the intake cap for 2016. Received another email on 17th March 2017 that Application for Permanent Residence under Family Class Sponsorship that you submitted to Ottawa office. No emails or communication from CIC since then. I notice that there has been several levels of advancement in the application process for others who applied in January 2016. Am I not doing doing anything that I should be doing or done? Any advise is welcome... thanks

Can anyone please guide how can I update my phone number on file? I tried doing it on MyCIC but couldn't find from where I could do that.
