Don't loose hope, I know we all are going through hard time and its now more difficult to be patient as its been a long time. Negative thoughts will bring negativity in life. I think in Nov first week we all will hear good news unless someone has complicated case.
In regard to going home, it depends on visa validity and employer. I have been outside of country more than 5 times during this federal process but going back as a permanent resident with no immigration tension is a gem.

I cancelled my trip. My wedding was planned for Dec and all arrangements was done. Everything cancelled because of CIC. So much money wasted in cancelling of all arrangements..Totally frustrated

I don’t have access to my cic bcz of consultant.... i Call on cic number and listen to the file status through automated system it tells me there that my bg in process....
My status expires on Nov 15th and I lost hope of getting PPR before that. I want to apply for BOWP but my new WP will come after expiry of my previous one. What happens to Health Care coverage and SIN and so on? Are they still valid?

SIN will be expired and nothing you can do about that..but the health card you can get a 90day extension just call them and they will extend it for you and once you received your new WP you can just renew it the usual..

you can still work coz you will be in implied status until you get your new WP..just make sure you apply before it expires..so you can continue working..
I submitted my bridging work permit application on July 28 and it has already passed the processing time of 80 days.
My main concern is that I am visiting Pakistan from Nov 26 - Dec 15, and I will need a visa to come back from Pakistan. Bought the tickets and everything planned out [long distance marriage, husband coming from Australia so that we can both meet there].
Initially I forgot but later I provided IMM5257 Schedule 1 via WebForm on 08/08/2017 which was forwarded it to the responsible office on 15/08/2017. (because there was an option to provide this form when I was uploading my other supporting documents. so I thought this is all what is needed for the visa)
I called the CIC Call Centre about it on Tuesday and first I was told that my days will count starting 15/08/2017 (which showed his lack of knowledge as that was an optional doc and my application was originally complete) and then he said I cannot apply for the work permit and visa in one application therefore he would discard the Schedule 1 that was submitted later.
They say you need a valid WP to apply for Visa extension. I learned this after I applied. I don't want to withdraw my visa application now because I'm worried if they cancel my PR application by mistake!
It is just horrible...
