No i didn't hear from them at all and today i saw this change. I have a feeling i might be in interview Queue (I don't have any big red flags on my application though)

why dont you email LVO to get a status update on your application and order GCMS notes? When did you do your medical exam last year? it could just be that its expiring and that is all they need before PPR. Do order GCMS notes and email LVO.

I applied for GCM notes 3 weeks ago. Once i receive them after a week and if there is no indication of interview i will start hitting them hard with MP and Emails. Thats my plan

I did order notes on Oct 03. Waiting for them before I storm LVO with emails and stuff. I am losing my patience now

You can apply from outside of Canada as well, as long as you are a Citizen I believe.

How to apply for GCMS / ATIP notes.

1) Only an applicant in Canada can request the notes otherwise the Sponsor has to order on their behalf
2) If sponsor is requesting it on behalf of Principal applicant, you need consent form from PA and $5 fee. You can receive consent form from spouse via email and upload it. Apply under Access to Information Act.

It takes about 30 days to receive by email. It is a ~30 pages document

The above consent form is to be filled and signed by the principal applicant and a scanned copy has to be sent to the sponsor who will upload it to order GCMS notes.

You can understand the need for the PFL. To them, you are applying under the category of spousal sponsorship yet there is no legal proof of the marriage. I am sure it had nothing to do with English or Urdu NN. Just that they were missing one from your file.

We only got the English NN even though both Urdu and English were signed. It's a bit counter productive for them to ask for Urdu NN with English translation when applicants can easily just submit the English NN to begin with. CIC can be a little idiotic as times!

No, I don't understand the need for PFL. I submitted it in my original package and it had a checklist/table of contents. For them to misplace it and put us through a wringer is their own fault. They could've asked for additional doc instead of a PFL which is when the officer is ready to refuse the case but gives you a chance to explain otherwise.

I understand your frustration, I was speaking strictly from their point of view. They are notorious for losing entire case files! Never had to deal with any other immigration place, but I certainly expected more from CIC.

So today they updated mycic... Background checks are now in progress. In the mean time my wife, who is the PA also got an email with a PDF attached informing her about some "Invitation to Pre-arrival services - October 27, 2017 09:01:19 a.m. EDT". I am hoping now that they would quicken things up.

True as this doc is also included when u received copr.

Imagine the excitement you get when u find out you have a letter in your mycic account and that turns out to be of pre arrival services. :/
