i had no Urdu NN as my original was in English to begin with, it did not require a translation. i just submitted that along with the nadra cert.

did you guys have a really hard time making a copy of the NN? its such a huge paper, it would not fit on the multiple photocopiers i tried. none were big enought to fit it!

I believe the legal size paper can be used to photo copy it. We also submitted English NN photo copy, we notarized it turns out we didnt have to but of well, and we submitted the NADRA marriage registration certificate as well.

We only submitted the English NN, no additional docs request so far. It is a legal document. Additional doc request is made to those who submit only Urdu with no translation as all documents in languages other than English or French must be translated before submission.

You can also shrink it on the printer/photocopier settings

You can understand the need for the PFL. To them, you are applying under the category of spousal sponsorship yet there is no legal proof of the marriage. I am sure it had nothing to do with English or Urdu NN. Just that they were missing one from your file.

We only got the English NN even though both Urdu and English were signed. It's a bit counter productive for them to ask for Urdu NN with English translation when applicants can easily just submit the English NN to begin with. CIC can be a little idiotic as times!

yup i tried, could not get a good copy with shrinking it because the actual glass where you put the paper on the photocopier was not big enough to fit the whole NN. i must have waster about 15 sheets trying that. lol. anyway, i finally got a good copy on a large sized paper

The officers check the documents that are provided against the checklist of the time. You applied in April 2017 and the checklist at your time was different from the one in November 2016. If anything that is requested clearly on the the checklist and is not provided by the applicant, one should expect additional document requests.

Yes that is exactly what I meant to say, though I am afraid I didn't do a good job. I have been told that some people in the past have been requested for Urdu NN with English translations when they provided only English NN. Prior to Dec 2016, the country specific requirements did ask for an Urdu NN with English Translation, which was so counterproductive. That is not the case any longer.

Did you get a remedial request? If so, then that is the reason of the change or you may be getting 1 soon.

Maybe your medical is close to expiry and they will send a re medical?

After sponsorship approval, did u hear from LVO at all?

is it ok to go to a Notary and have translation done for Nikah Nama or there is a specific form , or process or stamp that must be on it?

No i didn't get any remed request from them yet. I haven't heard anything from LVO since almost 11 months. Today i seen this change to my status. Does Re-med happen before a potential interview or after?
