Is it fine to let them know about my plans to study because I have, but vague. I will have to keep check on how things would be going and will plan accordinly. Would it make any negative impact?
@Landing_PR What do you suggest is the best way to answer this? I want to be honest but I am not sure what could be taken wrong and I regret it later.
I'm all about honesty is the best policy but you also don't want to be 'too' honest with CIC that they interpret in a way that it's not meant to be. It could get you in an uninvited trouble (I.e. PFL, rejection, additional documents etc)
I would answer it like this, IF (A BIG IF!! If they don't bring it up, don't voluntarily say it at the interview!) they bring up your refusal to the student visa. Feel free to make it your own:
I had applied for a student visa as I was interested in studying in Canada and completing XXX course. However, my case was refused based on XXX circumstance. Fate would have it after XXX years/months, that I was engaged to be married to a wonderful person who also belonged to Canada. This was a love and/or arranged marriage. My intention to marry was not only to move to Canada. I can live anywhere in the world, as long as I have my partner with me. However, my partner/spouse loves Canada so much that they don't want to move else where. For now, if my application is approved and granted a visa, I will look for ways to continue to support my partner, financially and emotionally. Whether it means going to school to continue education for a better financial gain or to find a job to hit the ground running, my partner and I will decide mutually, once we are together in the same country.
Always throw a positive spin to any possible negative questions. Let them know your intentions are clear and honest.
I have just received email from my MP, my wife file is transferred to Islamabad to schedule an interview. I wanted to know how many times the interview are conducted in Pakistan ?
How long will it take to schedule a date for interview once the file is transferred to Islamabad embassy?
I submited additional documents like ScheduleA, PCC and NIC Translation last week and this Monday medical was completed. Still when I login to ECAS it says only
We received your application for permanent residence on August 25, 2017.
Also when I login to IRRC page I dont see anywhere medical received or ScheduleA received kind of message. Is this normal?
I got the same reply few days back in response to enquiry that my cic account show "we need more documents to process your application" but i had not received any request.
Whats your timeline ? Is your application is complete as well? Our criminality, elgibility ,security and medical passed.

A Jan, a Feb and an April 2017 applicant have received interview dates for late November. My guess is if she doesn't than most likely Jan of next year.
Interviews are scheduled to be 3 months apart but the last set was conducted in September. So there seems to be rush to finish off applications faster than usual. Hopefully she gets a letter for interview for Nov. All the best.

CIC has requested an English Translation of the Urdu Nikah Nama.
I was told that once you submit the NADRA marriage certificate you didnt need the english translation. What has changed?
What type of translation works and where do I get it? Does it require original signatures from all parties ?

LvO says that interviews are conducted every quarter. The interview date ia communicated to an applicant 1 month in advance of the scheduled interview.
My timeline is in my signature.
i received my GCMs notes today and according to them eligibility and criminality passed. Security heading is blank. My background check started since 8 sep. No response after that.

Nadra marriage certificate is not enough. Someone misguided us also. We submitted it later on when Lvo requested it. you need to submit Urdu Nikkah nama with english translation. you get it translated by notary public.

Who told you that? That is a very wrong assumption. Since you applied in November, I'm pretty sure the checklist required a copy of Urdu Nikkah Nama and its certified English Translation.
Nadra Marriage Certificate is not NN, its just an added proof that your Nikkah is registered with the govt.
Can't answer question number 2 as I submitted the English version of NN itself along with the Urdu NN.
