All these data I have written above is only based on my close watch on spread sheet plus I am a vedic Astrologer (Jyotish Alankar and Jyotish Acharya). For knowing the source you have to go through all my previous post/calculations.
Rather I am also from India but my file is at Otawa. My sponsorship was approved on 22 Jun e 2016, medical request on 20 Jan 2017 but no other communication. Processing of PGP files speed is slow through out all visa offices as authorities are busy in Refugees from Syria as well as from America. It is expected now after mid September this will get speed as the authorities have to show 20000 target to be achieved.
We are towards the end of Oct 2017 but things are completely at a stand-still. What do you think will be the outcome ? Any luck for applicants with file at NDVO .
My parents got their passport requests. Their medicals anniversary is on December 5th. Not sure what date is reference though. The eMedical has three dates (consent date, IRCC submission date and report generation date).

I am not sure but I guess it was around August 2017 when it was marked as started for the first time. The funny point is that they did an upfornt medical on December and then late August CIC sent us an email claiming that we have not done our medicals and the application will be rejected if we don't do that in 4 weeks. I sent them an harsh response and convicted them of not being organised enough for the job they are doing.
I became very disappointed seeing your email and the final reminder which stated that my parents have not done their medicals yet.
This really surprised me because not only that they have done their e.Medicals (AAA and BBB) and the results have been sent to you through e.Medical by your panel doctor, even your site confirmed the receipt as you can below:
Review of medical results We are reviewing the results of your medical exam.
This kind of system and process errors or maybe can be called negligence by CIC can cause many problems and extensive life and financial hassles for the applicants and in my humble opinion CIC needs to care more.

Same here. We followed up via email last month and the reply was:
"Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.
Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum."

Log into your CIC account. There will be a table there that tells you the expiry date of the document (Visa) that will be issued. I do not think the table shows up immediately. We got our PRP on October 6th but I only now noticed the table.
I know this may not sound logical but I cannot trust myself to think straight any more. So my mom's medicals started last year on Nov 17, by the time we finished all tests and the doctor sent the files to CIC it was early December. Then it was Dec 30th that I had confirmation of the results being received by CIC.
we have received a request for passport and waiting to receive a visa. I just noticed that there is a table in My CIC account which says the visa will be valid until end of December.
Does this make sense? can my mom arrive by the end of December or do you think she should arrive in Canada by mid-November ( one year from start of medical exams exactly) to be on the safe side?
New edits :I was too tired and confused when posting the original question last night. My question really is this: Is there any chance that when she arrives (say on December 20th) on a valid visa (visa expires Dec 30th) she won't be admitted on the basis that it has been over one year from when she did her medical exams?]
I would imagine that the validity of the visa is the only factor but then just want to make sure I am not overlooking anything.
Thank you to those who care to share their opinion.
