I'm on my 195th day.
I got a weird request from CIC.
We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents.
Additional Family Info IMM5406:
Please provide a separate and newly completed Additional Family Information form (IMM5406) bearing original signatures. Please ensure to include information on both of your parents, whether alive or deceased. This must be received at this office by: 2017/10/24 Please note that the requested information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this correspondence. Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account.
I have no additional family, not married, no kids.
Also, does this mean I passed eligibility and being SS now? And where do I upload the form in my account?
Not sure if it means that eligiblity has passed, but since you don't have any additional family the form should be pretty easy and straightforward for you. When you log into your MyCIC account, there will be an additional slot for you to upload the doc in the same area where you upload your other application materials.
Haven't been here awhile. But just an update that my application got refused. I was facing misrepresentation, however, they did not find it and I am hoping to get an ITA next draw. Here's to hope.
Foreign work experience from home. I worked with my mom so not much records were kept (pay stubs etc, since I was paid in cash and most of it went into a savings account to go to school here). Despite what I could give them, they weren't convinced that it was a skilled work. But I guess the documents I supplied showed I wasn't lying so they just refused my application allowing me to reapply.
My application was taking awhile, especially knowing that there was a chance it would get refused and I would run out of time. I contacted my MP to look into it for me and got a response after a week. Maybe you should do that because your application is well over the processing time.

Sorry to hear about that. What was the status of your background check when you got refused?
And do you know if you passed eligibility according to your GCMS notes?

Didn't order GCMS notes. Background was just in progress. Well i didn't pass eligibility hence the refusal. my foreign work experience wasn't consider skill noc A or B

My lawyer has sent an email and asked about my application status last month. We got a response from 1 week and they said it was still in progress and there are no updates. It has been more than 3 weeks since then now.

Member of Parliament. Whoever is the MP for your constitution. You could ask them to look into your application. They might even put in a request for it to be expedited if the delay will cause other problems such as you losing your job or something.
Just called CIC. They said my application is in the security check and my eligibility is not finalized yet I was in Australia for 2 years. I think the long process might be caused by this ((((((((((
