Citizenship application in August 2017

Please update my "In Progress" date to 03-OCT-2017. My name is on August tab.

This is update on my application :-

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 4, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 12, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on September 19, 2017.

Got my fingerprints request letter on 12th oct. , but letter is dated on 05 Oct 2017.

Depending upon which city are you in go to any accredited company by IRCC.

So its 56 $ per person fee in Ottawa.

I dont know which is next step, will wait & update you guys once i get it.

One Quick check about police clearance certificate.

183 or more days spend in last 4 years immediately before the date of application.

I signed my application on 05 Sept 2017 .

So if I count 4 years back from 2017/sept /05 to 2013/sept /05 . I came back to Canada in aug 11 ,2013 since than I never been out of Canada for more than 183 days. Do they still ask for pcc ?


I got my AOR already. I am not sure on this requirement ...can anyone help me on understanding it ?

So if I count 4 years back from 2017/sept /05 to 2013/sept /05 . I came back to Canada in aug 11 ,2013 since than I never been out of Canada for more than 183 days. Do they still ask for pcc ?

called customer care ..they are processing Sep 6 application .... provided them my tracking# and they sent note to processing center with tracking# ...hoping for best ...

!!Finally got AOR!!
called CIC today morning and provided tracking# ... customer care sent a note to sydney processing center with tracking# ... bingo ... got AOR before end of the day

For applicants like us (4 years), the processing time is still 6 months, right?
Heard the new processing time is 12 months. With that affect us? Any ideas?

Nop, it won't effect us because we're in the site of 4 years, don't worry about it.
