Landing Experience at the US/Canada Border: it takes around Only 5 minutes for the whole process, which is Surprisingly Fast!!!
Questions being asked:
1- Do you have anything (properties) you would like to import (claim) from you country while landing as PR in Canada?
2- How much $$ you have?
3- The two necessary questions on the CoPR; initial and Sign at the bottom.
Then the Officer said: all right, that's all about it!!! Go to the cashier to get a code for the car...
Congrats and which border location/post you visited ?

Proof of payment is not enough. Employer has to wait for the offer of employment number to arrive in the confirmation (you need to type this number into your WP application). Processing time is about 24 hours usually, if there is nothing out of the ordinary. Because of the weekend it might take until tomorrow if they started today.

You have to wait for the number , it should be fast.Ask your employer to login to portal and check the list of offers.
And the number will start with "A".

Hi All,
I have a question about the PR card.
I see processing time on the CIC website is 61 days for 1st time PR Card, which gets posted out to a Canadian address.
I want to activate my PR asap, but at the same time I have plans to return home for the Christmas holidays. I believe that I can only re-enter Canada as a PR with a PR Card or a PR Travel Doc. I am hoping I don't have to go through the process of applying for the PRTD for obvious reasons.
Due to the fact that the CIC website states 13 months approx. for federal processing, but took me almost 16 months, I am not sure I trust the 61 day recommended processing time they outline lol.
Does anyone know on average how long it has been taking for the card to be sent out in the post?
Cheers!

Thanks for sharing, i saw in recent post by JL-HN in this thread that, even if we dont have employer offer letter or employment number, we shall still able to apply for open work permit, what do you think about that?
Below is the recap of JL-HN statement.
I followed the instructions provided by one of our posters here at this thread and also the information at
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/bridge-work-permit.458412/ to successfully extend my WP!!!
One of my friends friend got DM , by last Friday . It took 13 months . Inland applicant
