My friend went with someone else who drove him to the border. He just said that he came to flagpole and the US customs sent him back to Canada customs where he did his landing. It was at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle.
Thank you! Do you have any idea about how easy and fast it was? :)

Look... My Friend!
It is easy. (I got my Work permit renewed 4 times at the same border)
if that does not suffice then do the following.
Show up at the Us entry point and start speaking French.. If the officer yanks.. "I ain't got No Idea.. SiRrrr.. what you are up to.." something on those lines.. respond in a terribly bad English for example.. "Me .. Go back.. Canada.. Visa Work.. you know..." supportive hand gestures with the biggest dumbest smile ever... and he will be like... Ahan!! (get off my back..) and will tell you to turn your vehicle etc... and off you go...

Disclaimer.. I never tried it.. for me just telling them the simple truth... worked.. Once they sent me, my wife and my kid to the customs and took fresh bag of clementines out of my car while i was inside.. We hated it... despite telling them that I wanted to go back.. A dumb officer even made a nasty comment about my nationality.. I used the big dumb smile option with no response.. it worked. I have a personal rule ever since... Dumb smile for dumb people...

Hi APayés,

I am not sure what you mean by what country did they request medical checks from, but everyone is subject to a medical check regardless of their country of origin.

Cheers!
sorry I meant criminal checks

what country did they request criminal checks from?

Dear friends,
I am in a critical situation.
My PR (QSW) application was on progress, and my spouse also applied for OWP in August, 2017, with UPFRONT medical. Medical exam for this application is already passed. (it was non-EDE, worker category)
And in second week of September, 2017, i got medical request for my PR application. Thinking that UPFRONT medical might work for PR as well, i sent the e-medical information sheet of upfront medical to NDVO through web form. But no reply yet .
Can you plz tell reply me:
1. Can i reuse upfront medical exam report of my Work Permit Application for my PR application as well or I should go through another exam ??
2. If it works for PR/ if i can reuse for PR application, what is the correct way to send proof of medical examination to visa office?? Is there any quick way to send it??

if your medical status didnt change with in 2 weeks from the date of submitting the upfront medical report, then you should go with CIC medical request. this is my opinion.

Guys, I am delighted to announce that after 15 months plus, I have had a decision made. My ECAS account got updated during the night. I am going to assume it is positive. I also had my GCKey account say updated in the notes, but nothing has actually been updated there yet.
Merciiiii Canada!

CIC website says this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=381&top=29

But on forum people have discussed submitting same medical result for work permit and PR and so far no-one has mentioned that it did not work.

Hi It worked for me. I did upfront medical and sent the eMedical receipt/proof of exam that clinics gave you. I sent it with my application package.
