I'm confused with section 9 c)
During your eligibility period did you live outside of Canada
My eligibility period as per Calculator 2012-10-11 to 2017-10-11
I came to Canada on Jul-2013 as PR, so the period from Oct-2012 to Jul-2013 i was living in UAE & I should answer yes. If i answer YES, then i have to fill up the form (CIT 177), which is related to "CROWN SERVANT "!!!
having the same problem here too. The new form is so confusing! They haven't thought of that. Tssskk! And if you are not providing all the addresses within the period covered, they're saying the application will be returned.
As everyone mentioned forms don't print. I tweeted at IRCC and I encourage you to do the same.
There s a big flaw too in the physical presence calculator. It sets by default the eligibility period for5 years before the day of application, even if applicant arrived to Canada less than years ago. Then asks did you leave Canada at this period!!!! How about the time before Canada, it can't be listed in the calculator because literally I didn't leave Canada!! But then they ask about it again in the application because it is in the eligibility period!!!
Fair and easy solution is to start the eligibility period from the day of arrival to Canada if it is shorter than 5 years, but the person who done this is a real moron and can't figure out such an easy thing!!!
Thank you dear for the reply, I will be more than happy to ignore the guideline, do you have any other evidence /reference that in the case of discrepancy between guideline and checklist which one takes precedence?

Damn right what do u think we should wait for application instead of collecting police certificates for the period we even did not become immigrant or consider this eligibility period as mentioned in calculator?

I've been asking these question since the new form uploaded. Don't know why they are doing that!! I can't believe that they are gona ask me for police check for the period before I come to Canada just bcz it's within the eligabilty period!

can I fill the form today 11-0ct with tomorrow’s signing date 12-oct in physical presence calculator? I want to courier it todmorriw afternoon. Today wanted to complete all paper work. On the application form also I will put signed date as tomorrow 12-oct. I already have 1300 days from becoming PR in Dec 2013 so no problem with number of days.
I saw below statement so confused and asking for your comment if I can put 1 day future date or not.
“The date you sign your application cannot be in the future, and it cannot be more than 90 days before IRCC receives it.”
