Yes our passports can be withdrawn from the embassy which will take VFS 4/5 business days Ince we fill the withdrawal form and the PR process will be ongoing w/o our passports at the embassy. When the process is finalized they will ask for our passports back again according to the VFS agent today.

Yes heard the same from them. But based on earlier threads it seems there has been delays in the past. What’s your current status

No change in over a month, still says in progress.

I got my status approved last Thursday, however, the embassy is still holding my passport.

Based on previous posts it will take about 37 days for me since my PPR requested to submit to NDVO, to make things easier I submitted locally-AUH. Based on previous posts ADVO does accept passports even thought PPR mentioned VO is Delhi and they processing may be taking place in Delhi for all I know.

Got status approved on 28th Sept and as of now nothing. When did u submit your passport to ADVO? I can wait max for another 8 working days that is end of next week in shaa Allah and will request my passport temporarily. This is taking crazy amount of time... but read from previous posts that this has happened for some. As promised if they can deliver within 1 month then all well.

Oh thats great! At last you got some feedback and know why the embassy was holding your passport.
Are your photos not of the right dimensions with a white background?

Mine has been with the embassy since the 10th of September (Submitted to VFS on the 7th) , it could be due to the fact that I'm not on a residence visa in the emirates but VFS did accept it.
Hopefully it will be cleared within 40 days based on previous post within this forum who were also asked to send their passport to New Delhi VO.

Hi Guys,

Submitted our PP on 9th of September at VFS Dubai, reached ADVO on 10th Sep.

No updates since then.

In MyCIC, it says action is required and there is a place holder for passports. Do i need to do anything ? Do i need to resubmit scans of the passports ?

Appreciate your thoughts on this one.
