Hello! I'm planning to do soft landing next week. Are there any pros/cons of landing at Toronto vs Vancouver airport?
I read that you can apply for SIN at Toronto airport itself whereas one has to go to Service Canada in Vancouver. Would like to hear from your experience.
Also, can we apply SIN on the same day as landing (in case of Vancouver)?
Hello, I studied in canada for 2 years and now been working from last one year. My CRS is 434, expecting ITA in next few draws. My question is do i have to show proof of funds if i apply under CEC? I am still working at the same place under NOC 2232 (NO LMIA). Please advice..

You don't have to show POF.
Hey Guys,
I have a quick query regarding my brother's profile. His credentials are as follows:
- 31 years old and married
- The couple is on H1B Visa in USA and both hold more than 6 years of software engineering work experience.
- Both hold bachelors degree in engineering and are already done with WES and IELTS exam with bands 7 and 8 respectively.
Situation is that their CRS score is coming up as 423 and as per recent draws, the minimum score seems to be >432.
So what shall he do to increase his CRS score by 15-20 points or shall he try submitting the application as it is?
Thanks,
Sid

He can submit and update the information later on to increase his score (i.e - higher english scores).

I have one question thr is no coloumn of adding work experience in personal detail coloumn. In personal details, only his basic info is asked. Is thr any other form which we get after ITA where we have to mention work history?
Thanks
Yes, say he has no experience in the employment history section.
Then mention his experience in personal history only.

Hi Guys! Need an urgent help
I applied for PR from India and recently moved to New Zealand as my husband is employed here. Two weeks after my arrival, I received the PPR stating that I submit my passport to the Immigration office in Delhi before the 25th of October, 2017.
I have already raised a case specific inquiry informing CIC of my change in contact details, but haven't received any response yet.
Will it be alright if I submit my passport to the immigration office in Sydney, Australia(this is the closest to New Zealand), or do I have to go back to India to submit it?
Any help regarding this will be much appreciated guys. Thank you
Submit your 6 months bank statement and a letter showing your current and 6 months average balances + the gift deed. The gift deed will explain the sudden increase in your balance.
All the best
Thanx for guidance dude
Anyone who did a soft landing and didn’t apply SIN? Is it better to apply during soft land or wait until you move for good?
Thanks ... That helps a lot....
So you need to mention it. Be brave and do what you gotta do. Alternatively you direct superior can write the letter.
All the best

Thankf for the reply. I did apply for the Canada visa before. But still it doesnt appear. Please let me know.
You didnt read my response properly. You dont have one because you have never applied. You will be given one later, so dont worry.
It will appear once you pass the medicals.
Although this is true in most cases, a more accurate description is ones you get an update on the status of your medicals. You may not have passed yet.
regards

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading a lot about PR for Canada and the benefits and all of that.
I have received my PR for Canada and planning to move to Ontario in April 2018, along with my wife.
I have a Few Questions:
1 - How many years/days does one have to spend in Canada to be eligible for Citizenship?
2 - Can we have dual citizenship , i.e. Canadian and also the parent country?
3 - Is April a good period for seeking job, I have heard it is a hiring period as new vacancies come up?
4 - Is it true that referrals work wonders when it comes to finding a job in canada?
Thank you.
regards,
Kevin Naik
