June 2017 Citizenship Applicants - (pre C6 rule)

It is very slow in Montreal also. My status is "in progress" for 3 months. I even asked for the urgent process due to my job security. Maybe they are busy to process the refugees first.

I have 2 friends who live in Montreal they both have test invite already.

DO you know if they applied in June? Montreal Office seems to be one of the slowest. In the tracker sheet some are IP since June and I know I am IP since 25 July and still no movement. Hoping after todays announcement things start moving a bit faster. I am sure they will be bombarded with lots of applications from people who are now eligible. They WILL have to clear the backlog. This is the theory anyway.

Yes , Mine was just 14 days. But Shorter the wait its better because we never study till the last couple of days.

Wondering what happens for people older than 55 after Oct 11, when bill C-6 relevant clauses come into effect.... with respect to test dates... since they no longer have to take the test???

My wife's "MITZ" ecas got updated this morning with the CITIZENSHIP TEST invite date. Test is schedule for 27th October.

Hi, well sat the test this morning, 3 out of the 4 of us had to do it, and pleased to say that we all passed, interview completed and now just waiting on the invite to come through for the Oath Ceremony......
