Hi everyone,

Please I need urgent assistance through your responses.

We have just received ITA.
Now the issue is that my wife has been to different countries in the past, of which one of them is Argentina.
Argentina will not give one police clearance certificate (PCC) in their absence or through online medium, they require one to come to the country to obtain this. Now my wife was able to get one in May this year two days before her departure from the country.

From our research, applications can get turned down because of PCC been obtained before one leaves the country or it been later than six months before submission.

My questions hence are these;
Is it possible for my wife to not mention Argentina as a country she has been to, and also avoid scanning that potion of her passport that bears the Argentine visa stamp.
Also her passport will expire in the next 8 months so we plan to wait till it's 6months to expiration to cancel that old passport and obtain a new one before submission of our ITA documents. It is because of this passport expiration that I was thinking of not mentioning Argentina at all to avoid issues arising since the Argentine visa will be in the old cancelled passport.
Please note that we still plan to scan other pages of the old passport that contains visa stamps of other countries she has been too such as UK which is where she did her masters (we got the UK PCC online, hassle free).

A candid n urgent response will be very very very appreciated. Thank you.
I agree with DelPiero07,
Not mentioning Argentina is a BAD idea. Even if you get the new passport in time (so IRCC doesn't see the travel stamp), I am quite certain it would still come up in your Background Check. You'd be deliberately withholding information.

A quick question:
I teach English as a Second Language at a university. So does that mean I fall under the following NOC category:
  • ESL (English as a second language) teacher - college level NOC 4021
If you know anything about it, please advise. Thanks! :)

That would be misrepresentation which can lead you to a 5 year ban. Do it at your own risk.
In addition, they do not rely on passport stamps to see our travel history. They have access to international security databases that show all our travel history. So if they find out this may indeed lead to a 5 year ban.

All the best

Could anyone please let me know what do I need in terms of job description from my employers? Thank you!
Hi,

You don't need a job description, you need a reference letter that contains the following information:
"
The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:

  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and
  • if the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).
If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years])."

Hi,

Selecting an NOC has very little or nothing to do with your job title. It is all about your duties and responsibilities. So only you will know whether this NOC best suites your experience.

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could help with two questions I have:
1. Do you submit your work permit as part of your application package?
2. Which document category do you submit your IELTS results?

Best Regards,
Louis

Hi,

You can submit IELTS report together with you academic certificates and ECA.

Not sure about the work permit.

Hi TanakaM,
Thank you for your prompt response!

I saw two categories: Education (diplomas/degrees) (required) and Education Transcripts (required)

Do you know under which section should I upload the IETLS report?

Thanks,
Louis

I assume it's like that because you have Canadian education.
Submit it with the degree certificates (1st category).

Yes Tanaka,

That would be my case.

One more question if you don't mind:

Would you happen to know how updated my transcripts need to be? I have a copy of my official transcript printed out Jan 2017 after graduation. Can I reuse that for this application or Do I need to get a new copy? I couldn't find any specifics regarding this.

Best Regards,
Louis

Great.

The official one is exactly the one they want. No need for a new one.

TanakaM, so basically I can choose 4021? Is that right?

Thanks for your responses! :D

Dear Members,
I'm new on this forum and I just received an ITA on Sep. 20 under the skilled workers program, I'm the main applicant and I'm applying with my wife, my sister is a PR in Toronto, CA;
I'm Tunisian and my wife is Tunisian/ Russian.
I'm really confused regarding the documents to upload:

1) Education (diplomas/degrees) (required): Should I just upload the WES reports or I should also upload the official translations of the diplomas?
2) Family Member Proof of Status (required): What did they mean by that? Family member refers to my wife of my sister? (there is already another section for my sister (Proof of PR/Citizenship of sibling (required)/
Proof of residency in Canada of sibling (required)/ Proof of sibling relationship (required) ))
3) Passports/Travel Documents (Multiple) (required): My wife's section: My wife is holding also a Russian Passport, should I also upload that?
4) National ID (Multiple) (required): What did they mean by that? Should I also attach my National ID Card?

In advance many thx for your help!
