Visa Office: Colombo

Hi friends! Is there anyone here who's planning to fly from Colombo to Calgary in the end of October or beginning of November? Need a help please! My mom is planning to travel, as this is her first time, she feels she needs some help with the transit.. if there's someone who can help, I can book her ticket with yours. She's completely physically healthy, she just needs assistance to get to the correct gate during transit! Thank you!

My husband's PR application was submitted on 21.09.2016 (under the spouse sponsorship category - I'm a Canadian citizen). Like all of you, we have been suffering terribly as a result of long processing times at the Colombo office. A few weeks ago, we decided to apply for a visit visa for him. We knew this would be very difficult and against all odds and all advice we had heard/read from people (saying that visit visa applications while a PR is in progress have a 99.9% rejection rate). Today, we were informed that it was approved. I started a thread with detailed info on what we submitted, which you can hopefully use to help your application if you decide to apply for TRV: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-im...tor-visa-granted-while-waiting-for-pr.520770/
As 80% of applications submitted before Dec. 2016 have been guaranteed to be processed before the end of Dec. 2017, the chances are pretty good that his PR will be approved before his visit visa expires (he was also likely given multiple-entry, so he could fly out and come right back anyways).
I hope this small experience/advice I am sharing will help you. Good luck to everyone.
