If your BGC has not started, most likely you are not under SS. Don't panic.

So should I order for the notes again? I understand that when your security has started you can see the s15-16 on page 2, which i did not see in my notes from august. Once the security is passed how do you know? Or you just get the ppr? I would hate to get the notes and after 30 more days just see the s15-16 meaning who the hell knows whats happening in security. Thanks!

If your Security on page 2 says not started, then it has not. When the security starts, the status is blanked and usually has s15-16 on the top right corner.

That is your choice. If you want to order, you can see if there has been any progress, or you can wait it out.

The post only lists the stages, not in the order.

The order is:

R10
Criminality
Medicals
Eligibility
BGC

The application goes in SS only when the BGC starts. If you see your notes, and on page 2 if the security shows as blank, that is an indication that it has started. Only if your application goes under SS, will it be delayed. Otherwise not.

On the second page my security shows: NOT STARTED

Alright got it. Just ordered another set of notes from gcsmnow. Lets see if anything changed. Eligibility: met criminality and medicals: passed. R10 ok agent recommend pass.
What should i look for for good news? Hopefully i get the ppr before the notes...

3 SS Activities are:
1st : Not Started
2nd: Send to CBSA
3rd: Received by CBSA

Your SS start date is 30-Aug-2017. The average processing time for SS is around 6 to 18 months. There is no exact count for SS activities within GCMS notes. Its better to have 4 as it means some progress has been done. There are people who got PPR after 4 SS activities and there are people who got 5-6 SS activities under GCMS notes without PPR. So it totally depends on individual profile / case.

Ignore that Due date as it has no significance.

Hi, I have a question regarding this, my SS activities are as follows:

1. Not Started (says on notes)
2. Send to CBSA (going by your post)
3. Received by CBSA (going by your post)
4. XXXXXX (unknown so far)

Any idea what the fourth SS activity might stand for? CSIS completed my security screening already so maybe the 4th activity is the confirmation of that?

Does anyone know if one can apply for study permit to attend grad school while ss is in process? My post graduate work permit with 3 years validity expired a few months ago and I'm currently on BOWP waiting for pnp paperbased pr application for over 22 months. I'm thinking of going back to do a 2 years grad degree on study permit hoping that my current pr application will be approved at some point in the next two years.

I wonder if ircc would issue a study permit while pr is in progress? Would that jeopardize the pr application in any way?

Dear @legalfalcon and senior Members, I have been in SS only ( Family Sponsorship ) since 18 months.. I have a very clean record, we don’t know why! My spouse and I are getting so depressed from this wait! Is there any maximum time for this SS to be completed.. enough waiting seriously! That’s so unfair! .. please get back to me..
