Hey guys, I got a request letter from LVO today asking for some explanations (why delay between engagement and wedding, communication proof since filing application, visit proofs WHICH I already sent, rukhsati proof WHICH I ALSO already sent). They also asked why we didn't mention a previous immigration refusal, which I'll have to explain is because my husband was not the principal applicant (his parents had applied for SNIP and were refused because they didn't meet the requirements, and my husband was just a dependent back then so we thought it didn't matter).
I have an option of uploading files to MYCIC, so I'll be working on that tonight. It's only been 10 days since my ap began processing, according to ECAS.
Any comments or suggestions? It says I have 45 days to reply, but if I send my reply in right away, how long do you guys think they'll take to review it, and is uploading on MYCIC enough?

Hey I've heard that they only check the app again once the given # of days is over, not sure how true that is. But a head start would definitely be beneficial however, don't rush it. Take your time to get in all the info they need and organize it as best as you can, they can be tools sometimes! Also I would upload through MyCIC, send using Webform and also post it to LVO, just so you have all bases covered just in case. All the best
And yay they at least looked at your file! I have a feeling you'll get DM soon after they review your docs.
But they say that background check time limit is 6 months. .

I got the same reply today. Recommend for Interview. Last updated 27-august-2017. Wondering when they are going to send us email letter for interview timing
They will send you interview date and time 1-1.5 months before they schedule your interview. This month interviews were conducted for those who applied before March-May 2016.

Spreadsheet updated. Totally depend on your VO. Usually takes about 1-2 months for VO to proceed to next step bit always hope for the best.

This is honestly so wrong, having to wait an entire year and still only finding out through GCMS notes that they will be interviewed. This process seriously sucks!
In your opinion what sort of applications get called for an interview? age difference? second marriages? Arranged marriages?
If u dont mind me asking .. why did u two get interviews? 2nd marriage? Nikkah only? Any other reason u may know of?
Mine is Nikah only case. They asked photographs and documents to proof ruksati and Valima if it is done, back in June. I replied in July that it will be done in Sep, and provided evidence (invitation cards, hall booking etc). Now it's all done, and I am about to send the photographs and other evidence for Rukhsati, Valima and honey moon, etc.

The officer didn't get satisfied with age difference between me and my wife as well he said I am supposed to be visit Pakistan in one year again. that's lame excuses he is doing as well etc

Im 10 months older than my hubby .. i work in canada so i dont ask my hubby to send me money .. n im not changin my last name either as its not forcefully required in canada .. what the fudge????
