Hi,
I have some questions about education and work experience.
I want to apply under the NOC code for "Translators", I have a bachelor's degree in English translation and I have about 3.5 years of consistent experience doing this (from before graduation, till now, 1 year after) and now I'm a master's student studying something else entirely.

1. Now since my job is still a "translator" and I want to apply as one, Is it ok to say that I have a bachelor's degree in the EE forms? I mean that isn't breaking any laws or providing false information, right?

2. I have heard that they only accept work experiences that have been done after the graduation date of your degree. So now I'm only eligible for one year of work experience, correct? Is the fact that I'm currently a student, in another field, an affecting factor here? And if so, If I tell them my degree is a bachelor's, Where do I have to inform them that I was a student during this time?

3.Normally, my salary has seen some raises during these 3.5 years. which of them is supposed to go In the letter that I should write for them? Just the last one?

Thanks.
Good Luck
Hi,

1) That is the truth, so how would you be breaking the law? The master's degree is not considered as you are yet to complete it.
2) That only applies to Canadian work experience, so don't worry. Skilled, foreign work experience gained while studying is perfectly acceptable. They will know you were studying at the time through your academic history.
3) Put your current salary.

All the best

You require neither IELTS nor Express Entry for temporary Work Permit. Express entry is only designated to people applying for PR. Follow come to Canada tool to proceed Work permit.
Thank You I've been looking for this answer everywhere and you helped me a lot.

Please guys need some help with POF...
If i get funds from my father as tfr in my a/c then i get a fd in my name (backed by gift deed) . Now is there any requirement of avg balance in my bank a/c? OR Will fd be considered as part of bank balance and will be sufficient as POF combined with bank balance? Thanks..

Is there any option to save my application half filled up and continue another time while I apply for PR through Express Entry online? Or I have to complete the whole application with all required docs at once?

How long it takes to process PR? 6 months?
There is no exact answer to this question. All varies from case to case. 6 months is maximum time frame which IRCC targets to process an application, but it can exceed that too i some cases.
These days FSWO stream is being processed in about 60 days (fastest), PNP is the slowest these days.

Thanks man! I really appreciate your answer.
Just for clarification:
1. How about when I finish my master's education? is it ok then too? (Because it would take a long time for me to get my official degree and transcripts)
2. Are you sure? because I've heard this one from a registered immigration consultant working in Canada. If that is the case, It's AWESOME!
3. Could you please clarify the thing about academic history? because I haven't seen the actual forms in the EE registration portal. You mean I could tell them I have a master's education, that I have recently graduated from (but don't have the official degree and transcript yet), but here is my bachelor's with its assessments, translation, etc and some related work experience?

Thanks again :)
Good Luck.

1) Yes, in your EE profile you put whatever you want to claim points for, i.e what you have an ECA for. So if that is just your bachelors then that's all you need to mention. You will then enter your masters in the personal history section (post-ITA ).
2) Yes, I am sure. As long as it was skilled, paid and not part of the degree.
3) Yes, read answer 1 above. In addition, your work experience doesn't have to be related to your education. Eg you can have a history degree and experience in software development. This is perfectly fine.

Regards

Thank you so much, man!
Well, I guess this depends on the rules for the specific NOC. Mine (Translation) does say that you should have academic education in this field. (although there are other ways to it too). So now I can get the full points for my foreign skilled work experience! (3years or more) :)

So to iterate; for example, one of my friends who has just completed her master's degree could use her work experience from 3 years ago up until now, regardless of her graduation date. (and it wouldn't count as being only part time) correct?

You're a life saver!

You will need a new PCC from UAE.
IRCC clearly states " if you have lived abroad in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory."

Good Luck !!
