Hi Members.

Why it is taking so long for Eligibility review. March 15 2017 applied for spouse visa, still its showing we are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirement. Background check not started yet.

We applied in April 2017 and still the same status. Don't know whether its accurate or they just didn't have time to update it.

Why it is taking so long for Eligibility review. March 15 2017 applied for spouse visa, still its showing we are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirement. Background check not started yet.

Till the very end, it shows eligibility is in process. Lvo's processing times are between 6-9 months. I know that few 2017 applications were processed in less than 5 months but i think there's nothing to worry right now until the 9 month mark. I'm speaking this out of experience and I was super anxious the whole time.

Provide Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized each other's spouse(Such as Employment or Insurance benefits)

We had a similar question in checklist and I sent
- an insurance policy in my name where my wife was a beneficiary
- cell phone postpaid bills showing same addresses
- a letter explaining that utilities are in seperate names but same address because in pakistan companies dont allow joint names on utilities. So only showing same address.
-id cards showing husbands name and same address
- FRC from NADRA
You can also send if you have joint bank accounts.

There is only one officer in the room for the interview. Unless you ask for an interpreter. Then a Pakistani girl sits in with the officer (they are both behind a glass wall).

Yea, we did submit a Dubai PCC. But until last year, which is when I got my PCC, they gave hard copies, I went and picked it up from the Police HQ myself. I'm not sure since whne they changed the rule to mailing PCC's only...

Yeah apparently they only give soft copies now. Others have emailed the PCC to LVO and they accepted it. I'm guessing that won't be a problem.

Hi there, salman here from karachi pakistan. My wife appliex for my spousal immigration back in may of 2017, than an email that she's eligible, than an email for 1st medical which i did and as it says it was clear, we just recieved an email today that my file has been sent London office for further action....whats the coarse from now? Am I going to get another med req, or interview or PPR? Whats next and how long? Please elaborate ill be extremely thankful, can wait to see my kids.

Looks like these days CIC is taking long to transfer file to London.
Now you have to wait for a couple of months (4-5) as per average processing time. In this they will determine eligibility of principal applicant and do background checks. Re-medical is requested after 1 year. Interview does not take place in every case, only those cases in which the immigration officer has some doubt about the relationship.

Dont worry it will come. Are you PA or sponser. I think they only call sponser. The canadian number.

do we need to show rukhsati if we are applying for our spouse sponsorship? Is nikkah not enough?
