Hello,

I received an email from CIC today, stating that I was approved as a sponsor and my parents files are now transferred to CPC Ottawa. I am not sure why it transferred to Ottawa instead of New Delhi. Please update the document.

To those who wasn't selected, I did some math:
30% of you still won't be selected even after 10 years of applying every year. 11% won't be selected after 20 years of trying.

Just once for the principal applicant (the primary person you're sponsoring).

• the sponsor,
• the co-signer, if applicable

I have submitted my documents on Aug 04 2017 (Received in Missisauga) on the last day. I am yet to receive any communication from CIC.

Did anyone who submitted on Aug 04 2017 got response from CIC ?

He'd qualify only if he's been dependant on them before he turned 19 due to a physical or mental condition. If he's physically & mentally fit he's not eligible to be sponsored.

Yes, that's for all accompanying and non-accompanying dependants. One form for everyone (up to 5 members). Use additional forms if needed.

Hey I was going through the instructions guide and looks like you are eligible to apply for your parents while your application to sponsor your spouse is in process.

I have a question:
I was selected in the first round to sponsor my parents and I already submitted papers. Now my husband got selected to sponsor his parents in the second round.in both cases we will be co signer to each other. In the form "IMM1344" in one section it says "have you submitted a previous application in respect of which a final decision has not been made for the person being sponsored and their family members"- should my husband answer "yes" to this question as he was only co signer when I applied for my parents. Or does it mean he will not. E eligible until my parents application decision is made.please help

Wait for an email from Ottawa or whichever office your file was transferred to....

My sponsorship application status is Decision Made and Permanent residence is In process.. believed it recently changed from Application Received,
No email yet.. Should I also check letters? I believe some of the sponsors got letters of transfer to Ottawa/New Delhi etc

Oh that is encouraging, I was assuming that the PR might stay as App Rec'd so I stopped checking online. I will go back to checking then. Good luck and fingers crossed this doesn't take a year and a half as some are suggesting.
