They cannot work in Canada on super visa. So don't have to file taxes in Canada I think. Maybe back in home country they may have to.

If parents are residing with their kids in Canada on either visitor visa OR Super visa those files are retained at Ottawa. First I got an intimation that my file is transferred to NDVO but after 45 days I got message from IRCC that my file is at Ottawa and not at Delhi that is due to some system mistake.

Not sure if this is the case always. My mother in law has been living with us since august 2012 on Supervisa, but her files were transferred to NDVO.

Thanks for your reply Kaka. It makes perfect sense.

Secondly I hope they have not already met the 20000 annual target for 2017 because if that is already met they won't be issuing any more approvals this year & we will have to wait till 2018.

You have seen so many times the authorities or governments are fulfilling their targets/quotas always at last moments. See and watch the spread sheet of last year for quota of 20000 persons what the efficiency shown last year, none was having imagination that one could get their Pass Port request within a year of filling PGP application and when you go through the spread sheets of 2014, 15 and 16 you are able to think the quota in this year 2017 is not gone above 4000-4500 persons until today so they have to do now in hurry.

Question of filling income tax return does not arise until there is no income and while on visitor or super visa you are not supposed to do any job or incur any income legally and if there is any income that is an illegal Act that will adversely effect your next visit OR at the time of PGP filling .

Hello Everyone,

This is My First Post in this thread. I have Filed an application to sponsor my parents in 2016. I have Received a file number in June last year 2016. The letter also states that my files has been transferred to Ottawa. After that i havent received anything back from them. Its been now 15 Months and there has been no communication from their side. I have also requested the GCMS notes but everything seems normal in the notes.

Is it a normal to wait that long for the Medicals?

Is there any action required from my side or just sit and watch.

Thanks you Very much for your quick reply back. Could you please elaborate how can we reply back to them(CIC). Do you mean sending out a letter from the MPP. Or if there is a way i can communicate with them through email/phone specific to my application.
