Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Hi guys, i hope someone could answer this question for me, currently as my application is being processed in SL but if want to change my current residing address what steps should i take ?

They change to no medical needed
That mean i dont have to do a remedical

Everybody is having a horrid time with the embassy. so annoying. I have just given up totally.hopefully one day they will update our status.

I am going to apply for Spousal visa. I am principal applicant and my wife is sponsoring me. In (New form of 2017) Supplementary Travel History Form IMM 5562 their is a question.

List all trip you, and if applicable, your family members have taken outside your country of origin or residence in the last years(or since your 18th birthday if this was lees then 10 year ago.)

a) You- (Means Principals applicant travel history)

b) Your spouse or common law partner (Means sponsor Travel history)

As per question b) we have to provide them travel history of sponsor also???

Please advise especially those who filled their application forms in 2017.

Yes you must provide both pa and sponsor travel history

Last Friday i enquired through MP. Today i got a reply . its same what i received 3 months ago. still doing eligibility, and it may take 20 months.???

“We can provide you with the following details about the status of your constituent’s Application to sponsor a spouse living outside Canada:



· The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Ontario, on December 2, 2016.

· The initial assessment to ensure your constituent meets the eligibility criteria and that the application is complete was finalized on December 15, 2016.

· The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s spouse meet the eligibility requirements.

o the assessment for the spouse is still in process at the Canadian visa office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

· The medical examination results are on file and valid until October 24, 2017 for your constituent’s spouse.

· The criminality verifications have not yet been initiated.

· The security verifications have not yet been initiated.

· As per our current processing times, it may take up to 20 month(s) to finalize the application. However, processing times indicated on our website are approximate, and can vary with each individual case. We’re working to finalize applications received before December 7, 2016 by the end of December 2017.
