For those like me who are in IP2 for more than 2 weeks, send an email to CPC Ottawa requesting processing status of your application.

I sent one 2 days ago, and today got a reply saying that my file is being processed at CPC Ottawa and my application has been approved. They will be sending the Ready for Visa email soon.

So to all my fellow IP2 folks, don't worry... Just email CPC.

ok, i am waiting for 42 DAYS Ip2 and they do not know when it will be ready for finalization by the way!! 42 days and they do not know!

Wow. That is a long time. Do you have extensive travel history? Usually that's the reason for security check delays.

well, it is one of the factors, however, it is not the main cause of the delay most probably!

Hey same here. 95 days since AOR and 31 days since IP2 and in the same boat as you.....So I am going to follow your updates now :-D...Hope we get the PR soon

Status of additional documents says being reviewed although I was never asked for any yet.
Background check status in process. Will msg if more information is needed.

Should I call cic or order gems notes?

IP2 (17TH OF JULY). AND WAITING SINCE THEN.
Every time I call them they say only security report is missing, and the rest are done, and even the email replies "your file is being processed as per our regulatory timelines, and we cannot confirm when it will be ready for finalization!!

I am from Egypt, with a significant travel history over the past 10 years, really extensive indeed!!

Did you guys order GCMS notes after your applications went into IP2? That might be the best thing to do as of now. It'll help you understand what's going on, and might even help speed up the process. It's going to cost you, so think about the trade off. To make it cheaper, you can ask a friend in Canada to request it for you - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp.

Maa you do not need to be a PR holder to order GCMS notes. Have order mine last week. Lets see what arrives earlier - PPR or notes. In any case I would like to know where the file has been stuck.
