Thanks for your reply. If I want to go for Option-1, then if my friend can bring my PR card with him while he is travelling to India and then I can come back with PR card to enter Canada. Would that work?
And I read many posts where people have done so. I would not mind going for Option 2 either as I will have time to come back to Canada till May 2018.
In my opinion, you're more likely to face administrative hassles in Option 1 as compared to Option 2. My recommendation would be Option 2, as long as you have a couple of months for completing your landing in Canada. You might find the link below useful:

Yeah I called at CIC helpline and they told me that my file has been moved from CIO Sydney to Ottawa CPC. My medical status is still showing as "we are reviewing the results of your medical exam" and my BG status changed from " We are processing you background check..." to N.A
Can my bank account go below the minimum threshold during my application process or is it fixed when I sent them the application?
Further, is the exchange rate counted as the prevailing rate at the time of application submission, or does it fluctuate as per actual?
