Not sure if anyone responded about this but I was sent PFL because they had lost my nikkahnama and BC for my daughter. We responded and ordered the notes which stated that the officer was satisfied that we are genuinely married.
With regards to LVO recently sending PFL quite generously, O also received a PFL because the PCC got delayed, despite the fact that I had been corresponding with them through emails and still received PFL after I already sent them the PCC both by mail, email and web form. I think they are sending PFL to justify the delay for over a year. What is others opinion on this ?

I believe that the "We started processing..." date on the sponsor's side is put by CIC (when the application is first opened and starts processing in Mississauga) and the date on the PA's side is when LVO starts processing it.
Gcms notes says:
Paper file:
Office : london
Location : put away
Application assignment:
Assigned to : blank
Assigned by : blank
Due date : blank

Salam,

First of all congratulations on big decision. Now about your questions, I have started my wife sponsorship process last year Sep, 2016.
I am writing this reply, because I have recently gone through this process (and still going), and want you to be aware and avoid any pitfalls in the entire process.

First and foremost, Please do not apply for spouse sponsorship, without doing Rukhsati and Valima (and possibly honeymoon). I applied my wife sponsorship based on our Nikah, and I am literally suffering from that decision. So once again, please go to Pakistan, get fully married, attach all the evidence of your Rukhsati, Valima and honeymoon, and then apply for sponsorship. CIC looks at Nikah only cases with suspicions. Many in this forum can validate this ... @khan1001 , @CONFUSED SPOUSE , myself.

My lawyer recommended me not to apply for visit visa before or after filling sponsorship case. They don't give visit visa to young people, so if you apply before filing your sponsorship case, she will have already a rejection on her file.

You can always get her on study permit, but if you plan to do so, it would be advisable to do it before Nikah/marriage. But I would recommend you to consult with good and trusted lawyer about this point. I have not done it for myself, so I am not too sure about it.

It is always good to use a good and trusted lawyer to represent your case, not only to save time, but to avoid any possible issues due to the technicality of application process. The important point is that lawyer should be good and trustworthy.

Good luck.
Agree with most things except for the lawyer part. Having a lawyer is not important or necessary unless u have a complicated case (second marriage, marriage without family present, differences in age/cultures). In most cases, lawyers do not help you properly once the application is submitted. All they say is wait, and they won't even let u contact the visa office. As per my 1 year old experience, most people who have had lawyers have taken longer.

True because once a PFL is sent, the application becomes 'non-routine' which means that there is no 19 month deadline. We go to the bottom of the totem pole.

Also, same thing happened to my friend. He was in constant touch with CIC and they had said that they realize that FBI clearance takes 4 months or so to get in. Gave them an extension, then turned around and sent him a PFL, that too, after the interview!!

Insha Allah and what will be next step or document

Regards
If they need any additional document or re medical, they will send requests.

If immigration officer is not satisfied with relationship genuiness they conduct interview. (doesn't happen with everybody)

If they don't require any of the above, Ecas status will go from in process to decision made (dm) and you will receive passport request( ppr).
