TRV through VFS Bangalore

Hello All,

I applied for Business Visa (TRV) through my office in Bangalore.
Applied through VFS bangalore & application is submitted to Canadian Embassy at Bangalore.
Application submitted to embassy on : 18th July 2017

Its been more than 25 calendar days & 15 working days today.
Still the status of application in VFS tracking website shows "Application is being processed"
I need to travel on 12th August & still do not have any updates on the VISA.(Approved/Rejected)
Could any one help me in knowing the facts on TRV Visa approval time.
The wait is really frustrating!!

The current estimated processing time is 25 days. This, however, is only indicative and it is not a commitment.

I recommend:
1. You email the Bangalore visa office to request for an expedited decision (as processing has exceeded the 25 days stated on the IRCC website)

2. Postpone your travel

3. Are you also traveling to the US (before you visit Canada)? If yes, you can request the visa office to urgently return your passport without withdrawing/cancelling your TRV application

Same state as you. Applied with a paper based application on July 19th. Have to travel to the US on the 15th of august. Have not been able to link the application online and the status is still under process via VFS. Worth the wait ? Withdraw ? Or just postpone tickets which could be expensive.

Hi just let you know, we have applied for our family member for visitor visa thru Bangalore (13th july paper appl)

Until yesterday the tracking information was my application is processed in Bangalore visa office. Today" no records found "?

Actually it my family member application. We didnt book ticket yet because we know that canadian embassy is totally unpredictable.
cant say anything until we get visa

hmmm, I am just trying to get some information on what my next steps should be .....should I postpone tickets , ? wait ? withdraw ?

I am elligible for CAN + , since i have a multiple entry visa to the USa and have travelled there several times. How do i pass on this information to the consulate ? is there any any way of expediting the application
Applied on July 19th
Status ---> still pending
Email to consulate with a reply that they cannot expedite
travel date to USa august 15th

Bryana , I have email the consulate and the response clearly states that , if we request for the passport back , they will have to stop processing the application and i will have to reapply again . any other suggestions ? how do i let them know that i am elligible for the can+ program ? please help

1. Did your request simply state you want your passport back?.... or

2. Did you specifically mention that you need your passport for urgent travel and you do NOT wish to withdraw/cancel your current but you will re-submit your passport whenever the visa office requests it?

This was an option when you submitted your application. It won't help now
