Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi everyone, I am still halfway through back-reading this forum. Anyone who is studying/applying to NAIT or norquest? Any feed back po sa mga schools? And baka puwede po pashare how is the admission process? TOR lang po ba kailangan? Thank you

I think you can check sa website nila. Usually May section sila for admission. TOR is probably not enough, you also need other documents as well, and some require IELTS.

If you are not picky(LG G3, etc),phones can be free of charge if you get a 2 year contract. The cheapest during my time was freedom mobile. Unlimited internet and may LTE allowance na 5 gig per month dahil student ako. Don't forget to ask for the student discount or extra free data. Minsan hindi nila babangitin sayo yun e hehe

Entrance scholarship can help as part of your financial documentation. Transfer credit, not so much. I would in fact advise you to be careful about transfer credit, as they may shorten your length of study or make you a part time student. This might cause problems later on with your PGWP. Consult the school student advisor for that.

As for study permit approval, walang additional help yung transfer credit really. instead show you have the means to support yourself, your course is a logical progression from your background and that you are a bonafide student

Salamat sa reply! Ganun ba nabigyan kasi sya ng more than 60 units na transfer credit at instead na 4 yrs yung degree naging 2 yrs na lang. So sa PGWP pala ang magiging problem?

I think its okay since if you use that passport then the student permit will expire next year. They cannot give you a student permit longer than the validity of the passport.

Nag apply kasi kami at pumayag naman sila na ma transfer credit yung mga subjects na nakuha nya for 2 yrs kaya itutuloy lang nya yung remaining 2 yrs sa Uni at binigyan din sya ng entrance scholarship based sa academic records nya. Kaya lang ang tanong kung meron at makakatulong kaya ito sa study permit application nya hehehe. Three weeks na ngayon since nag apply kami at di pa nag start review ng eligibility. I'm so stressed and nervous

For example po naka limang check ka in 1 day ng status versus sa hindi nangchecheck ng status, mas naaprove po yung nagcheheck parati? Shempre po joke lang pinapatawa ko lang po kayo.
