AOR March 2nd, 2017. I am an inland CEC applicant with spouse outside Canada.
Medical: Passed on April 1st.
Background Check: Status changed on May 1st from 'Not Applicable' to 'We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.'
I am having trouble to interpret GCMS notes (requested 22 June, 2017, received on 10 July).
First page says: Medical: PASSED, Eligibility: PASSED, Criminality: PASSED, Security: * blank *
Secondary Offices: 1 CIO last updated 15/06/2017
Secondary Offices: 2 OSC late updated 14/06/2017
Secondary Offices: 3 CPC Vegreville 26/05/2017
Not sure where to look for latest updates. There are lots of notes and kind of repeating similar activities! Any suggestions?
The call center always gives a vague answer that doesn't mean anything. They said my application is out for additional security check. What does that mean?
No movement at all after May 1st in my CIC account. Super stressed. Anyone experiencing similar situation?

Good thing is it appears you have passed 'eligibility' and all other critical steps. Why did they send your application for additional (more stringent) security check?
I am afraid to coz its just gonna add to the record and they are only going to give a generic reply. I am now awaiting for my gcms notes. Hope that will shed some light.

We are the March crew, we are not loved. But I hope, one day in the not too distant future, that we all get swept up in the same flood of PPR's and can go on and begin to live our lives

I am a March 18 CEC Inland. My background is stuck as yours since May 17 or something. No update after that.
I think your application is under security screening at the moment which is a very lengthy process sometime. This is done by separate goverment agencies.
