Why avoid Quebec? is it not allowed to land in Quebec?
I'm planning to land in Montreal, would that be a problem? (I chose Toronto as my destination in the application)
By choosing Toronto you saved yourself from a possible rejection! You cannot choose Quebec city or land there because they have another immigration program as johnsyk said! Some folks were rejected for choosing Quebec as their destination.
It's not only April first week but there are al lot of folks from April end (source: tracker) and may as well. June onward they have changed thier systems. I hope all of us who are in NA get our PPR by aug 1st week. That's all I hope for!!
I think most of April 1st week folks are rotting in CIO Sydney and then transferred to another rotting Local VO. In my case, I am currently rotting in London VO. June and July folks are now moving to IP2 and us CIO/LVO folks are still in NA.....but I guess that's life. Life isn't fair.

I wasn't aware of this, I just thought that since I'm not sponsored by any province I could land anywhere in Canada.
If I land in Toronto, can I provide an address (of a friend) in Montreal to receive the PR card there? or do I have to give an address in the same province I landed in?
@sam_15 here is some hint..
8 July wow. And I am in a hurry. Give the man his PPR! Hah! @vishalphonsa please keep us updated on this case, I want to know how far they can stretch it, thanks!

Gosh. Can you give us your timeline? Mine is in the signature.
I looked at the tracker more carefully and I saw IP2's that lasted 40, 50 days. This is a revelation.

It depends on where you are from. E.g. if you are from Bangladesh vfs sends your passport to Singapore and takes around 3 weeks to 1month. Whereas if you are from India I have read in the forum it is sent to new Delhi and takes 1 week

Hello everyone,
I have a doubt regarding the ip1 or ip2. I never bothered to figure out what these two were until i saw medicals passed. Even on that day, I don't know what was my background check status. A few days later I read about the ip1 or 2 status and found that our background status was Not applicable. Then again I kept checking till Thursday when it changed to Background check in progress.
So is this ip2 by any chance?
Also my second query, how do we come to know where is our Visa office for the application, like London or Sydney or Ottawa or New Delhi? Is it sent by mail or somewhere in cic application?
Thank you all
