This is my first time of seeing this kind of request at the federal level. FYI, I am also a phd student

I don't really know. I do phd related to security. But I am not the main applicant and if I remember correctly the initial material does not cover my topic.

This is so weird , if you are AOR november that does mean that you passed the 13 months or almost ?

If background check , which is the longest part , didnt start yet . where did they plan to do it ?

I wish they only forgot to update the CIC account for us.

I suggest that you call them , as you are close to 13 months and tell them my background check didnt start yet , is that normal ? , me i am still in 7.5 months waiting so they will tell me it is too early.

Today i have raised a Technical Issue Regarding the same. Hope they update the same in MYCIC account.

Please can anyone tell me a number to call someone in federal stage out of Canada because I am waiting since 18 months for PR and nothing. I have contacted them through the application online and they replied only the first time saying that "This is to advise you that your file is with visa officer". Three other application with no respnse. I have ordered Gcms notes and only criminality for primary applicant was "not started" everything else was passed.
Please help me how can I contact someone other than visa office wichi is Rome.

It seems either they don't have fixed pattern -like MR received and passed but eligibility not started (as have seen multiple people) could be because there might be multiple teams/depts working ..or they are not updating status correctly

thats means they didnt start yet my Background , febrary AOR so weird

I accomplished my medical on March, 14 and my background check not started yet!

I have passed medical tests, but my eligibility status did not change as well as background check!

I am in a another forum with QSW applicants at the Federal stage whose visa office is the same as mine. I just noticed that within the past 13 days my visa office has issued 4 PR visas and 5 MR( under QSW ) that i know of. Note that this visa office usually request Medicals and passport at the same time.Meaning the MR comes with PPR and then you just wait for a message from them telling you of DM and passport is ready for pick up.Things have been movong fast at this visa office this month. The last time things were this fast or moving at this VO this year was in March and early April
