My husband has submitted my application to CIC. My application is received by LVO on 24th March 2017. Its been three months and there is no update. I was wondering should i wait or request them to share the status. Please guide

Would just like to add a little thing about proof of intent to return to canada. My wife and I were living outside Canada throughout the application process. We had submitted enough proof initially with our application. However, after 5 months of our application being filed, we ordered GCMS notes and in the visa officers notes, we read "Proof of intention to return to Canada to be determined by the visa officer"

This gave me a hint that they might question later about "proof of intent to return." Hence, I voluntary sent some extra documents to LVO and gave a detailed explanation of our plans when we go to Canada. El7'mdulillah, apart from PCC, there were no additional docs requested and visa was issued. Ordering notes definitely helped and also there is a high chance LVO will ask about intention to return if the sponsor is living with application outside canada for a long time, in my case, throughout the application process. Thanks

lets say they want to interview .. who will CIC interview - PA or Sponsor? Where will they want the sponsor to go for the interview if they are in Canada?

The interview as far as I know, is only of the PA in Outland sponsorship. The PA would have to go to the Canadian Embassy in Islamabad.

My friend (March 2016 applicant) had a request for Schedule A on June 17. He submitted the document via email, mail and uploaded it on myCIC. However, myCIC still shows "We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details." Does anyone know if the status changes after the document is uploaded or when does it change?

I think this happened after some system maintenance on MyCIC. What is this "Not applicable" supposed to mean?

So i m just wondering, I m 25 th oct 2016 applicant. 2 days ago I got a request to show proof of intent to return to Canada cuz i m in pak with my wife and yesterday my wife got a re med request. Now, what do you guys think that has the eligibilty been passed already and they r just waiting fr the re med and proof of intent or the eligibilty is yet to be determined? Where does my application stand right now?

Proof of sponsors intent to return is part of eligibility. if cic is not satisfied that the sponsor will return to Canada, then automatically the principal applicant will not be eligible to be sponsored.
