No you don't have to fill the Military form. because this form is to be filled by anyone included in application. as neither you nor your wife worked in military so no need to fill it. Plus i am principal applicant and my father also worked in military and we did not fill this form. Hope it helps.

But if we mention my wife's dad name in the application as a family member of the principal applicant. What if in future my wife wants to sponsor her father.? Won't it be an issue

Dear 2017 applicants,

We submitted pur application on March 8, 2017 and got sponsor approval letter and medical request on March 21 and 30, 2017. Our medical wad done on April 10, 2017. Since then we have not heard anything about our file. So we called CIC missisagua call center in first week of June to find out the status of our file. We followup with them once in every two weeks. Now our file has been in transit since June or may be before that.

My question is has any of you experienced or experiencing the same thing. When will our file be transferred to LVO and why is it in transit for so long anyway. Call center agents confirm that everything in our application is in place.

Please guide. Thanks a lot!

Hi there . I have gone through the same situation.Iapplied on 7 November 2016 but my file reached London visa office in march 2017.So for more than 3 months my file was also in transit ...or held back because of back office.So I guess some files are transfered late and some files are transfered early...Hopefully we all will hear good news soon

I just printed the convo and it came as 400 pages, my work place will kick me .

I don't think such extensive conversation history is needed....

I read from others in this forum and used their advice. I took 4-5 whatsapp screenshots of each month and put 6 of them on a single page in microsoft word. I had 9 pages in total covering about 14 months.

This is what others suggested so I did it like this. I have seen other people on the forum send a huge chatlog as well though....

Yes I agree that both are valid bit seems like our visa office does not know about that. This is one of their favourite additional document request.

thanks for the heads up. Hopefully the other couple's explanation will have made an impact on the close-mindedness of the LVO officers and they won't harass others like me for a redundant document. Hopefully!

It is the date that we opened the document. The thing is though... if I open the same document today then the date read updates to todays date. Maybe CIC uses it internally to verify that people have viewed the document.

The date when you click on or read the message if you click today it will show today's date.

lol its all good, on company's expense anyway so don't feel bad. Plus I kind of like going back and reading all the cheesy things we said to each other. makes me giggle. Maybe you can do the same when you are missing your significant other

In most cases yes this is the last stage and criminality + security checks = background checks. They usually commence after eligibility is passed. So IA I'm hopeful ur eligibility has passed. In some cases however they commence background checks before hand. So u can never be sure. How about u ask them specifically about ur eligibility in another email after a few days just to confirm.

Oct 25 th applicant. Alhamdulillah got re med request today. Got the reauest if proof of intent to return to canada yesterday as well
