Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

How did you get this response from CIC?
I have same timeline as yours.

This is the response from CIC

The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Ontario, on December... 2016.

· The initial assessment to ensure your constituent meets the eligibility criteria and that the application is complete was finalized on December ..., 2016.

· The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s spouse meet the eligibility requirements.

o the assessment for the spouse is still in process at the Canadian visa office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

· The medical examination results are on file and valid until October ..., 2017 for your constituent’s spouse.

· The criminality verifications have not yet been initiated.

· The security verifications have not yet been initiated.

· As per our current processing times, it may take up to 19 month(s) to finalize the application. However, processing times indicated on our website are approximate, and can vary with each individual case.

Did u link ur file to gckey?
If yes, how about ur background process?
Started? in my case it's showing "your application is in progress. we will send you a message when we start ur background check"

nope. it always says "Based on the information you entered, we found no applications."
