yes I emailed them the same way that JMZ did, thanks for that idea by the way @JMZ <3

So we first applied October 6, 2016. AOR on October 29 and we got sponsorship approval on November 10, 2016. On January 19, 2017, we got a document request from Abu Dhabi Visa office requesting another police check. Then on January 24 background check changed to in progress. We FINALLY got Decision made on June 23, 2017 and today we got the email for Passport request and also they added the PPR email on CIC!!!!!
So in total our application took about 9 months!

Thanks rbay for the details ! Hasan2016 and I have been waiting for almost a year....weird. Hasan2016's background check started on Jan 2017 also, while mine is still showing that they will notify me once it is started lol....
We don't know what is going on. Let's see & wait....

rbay, no we are not over the processing times, this is what is killing us....our PT are 15 months, for me after 12 days I will complete one year. for Hasan2016 , he will complete a year in August...

I am not sure if it is a good idea to email them, however, CIC stressed on the page to not email them or send a message on webform if we did not cross the processing times. What do you think ?

rbay for the applicants who applied before december 2017 , the processing times are 15 months, for the ones who applied after december 7, 2017 the processing times are 12 months. I know it doesn't make sense but this is how it is.
I am not sure if the email will save my life and let me get the DM / PPR.... I mean the maximum that can happen is that I will get no reply....
Hasan2016 , rbay & JMZ what do you think guys ?
