FBI US PCC which applications are currently being processed ?

Latest update. They are saying they plan on completing April 17 by today, mail it out by Thursday or Friday.

But it's contingent on the number of applications.

I stay 350 miles towards the East Coast in South Jersey from the FBI - Address - FBI CJIS Division – Summary Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road , Clarksburg, WV 26306 .
Do they send overnight - mail or do they send it through regular USPS - The regular I believe can take 5-7 days from that time.

I am from central Jersey. They sent out as regular mail in USPS so for sure 5-7 days once they post it.

Oh nice.. FBI is working fast on it.. This week they have cleared from april 13-19 and I am hoping by EOW they may clear up to April 21

Did you contact USPS? Was your package delivered?

Yes...I did.. apparently USPS sent me an email today that the FBI confirmed that they have received it although the tracking still shows delayed. The lady I talked to at the USPS office claim the mails the FBI received daily are a lot and they might have skipped scanning it. She followed up and later send an email to confirm delivery. Thanks pal...

No, you are mistaken. There is a huge difeference.

You can call FBI at +1 304 625 55 90 or email them at Identity@ic.fbi.gov. That is how most of us track applications

Hey karthik2479. You also had only one set of fingerprints in your application. Did you call and ask them if your set was legible?

The current processing time for an FBI Background Check is taking 10-12 weeks to complete from the date the request was received. It can take 9+ weeks for a request to clear our security process, so we are not able to see the request in our system until then.


At this time we are opening mail we received on approximately 4/20/2017, without a tracking number (provided by a courier) we are unable to verify the delivery of a package until it is open. If you submitted your request by courier (Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS), please view their web site to verify delivery.

Unfortunately, no requests can be expedited at this time due to the amount of work. All responses are mailed through the US Postal Service First Class Mail please allow standard mailing time (three weeks in the US and four weeks outside the US) to receive the response. There is no tracking number with the US Postal Service First Class Mail.Responses cannot be emailed.


Please be sure to supply your full name and date of birth when requesting a status update.
